Our client constructed a new copper concentrator in Kitwe, Zambia to process 3.8 Mtpa of ROM ore from the newly constructed Synclinorium Shaft. We were tasked to develop the flowsheet and complete the design of for the flotation, re-grind and reagent handling sections of the new concentrator based on extensive testwork. The detailed design was completed during 2016, and construction was completed 2018.
