DTE Project Management on the 20th of September 2023, represented by Hloni Tshabalala handed over to the Gaotime Secondary School and Principal Ms Mogoera the Classroom and Office furniture, changing the 2023 pupils schooling experience. The donation forms part of DTE Project Management’s yearly Social Upliftment plan which sets out to improve the Educational Institutions and Environments of the local communities and to ensure that education is easily accessible in communities in which they work in.
This yearly initiative forms part of a larger Socio-Economic Development plan by Anglo American, which seeks to make an uplifting, lasting, positive contribution to the communities and regions in which they operate. The school was offered a donation to the value of R145 978.00 which was utilised to purchase new furniture for the school. One hundred and thirty-two school chairs and tables were bought together with fourteen executive chairs which will be utilised for boardrooms.
